Welcome to Snippenbosch

Tucked away in the historic Leyduin forest, Snippenbosch offers a unique and tranquil B&B experience in the Dutch countryside. Our guesthouse (at Vogelenzangseweg 25) is nestled in a private garden featuring a food forest, wildflower meadow, duck pond, oak woodland, and open pasture. As hobby farmers, we’re happy to share seasonal treats like fresh eggs (from both chickens and ducks), homegrown fruits, and other produce. You’ll also meet our friendly alpaca trio – Guusje, Kiki, and Pippa – who add their own charm to the grounds.

Your ideal base to explore

Snippenbosch is perfectly positioned for exploring the western Netherlands. Just 350 meters from the vast 3,400-hectare Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen nature reserve, it’s a hiker’s paradise with 11 scenic routes to choose from.

The beach, Zandvoort Circuit, Keukenhof gardens, and the historic city of Haarlem are all within 8–10 km – easily reachable by bike (two are available for guest use). For longer trips, the nearby Heemstede-Aerdenhout train station (2.6 km) offers direct connections to Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague, and Rotterdam.

Your private apartment

Through your private entrance you enter your own hallway, where you could leave larger items, before taking the staircase to your 70 m² apartment on the first floor:

  • A spacious open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, and sleeper sofa (suitable for two children or 1 adult).
  • A cozy bedroom with a comfortable double bed.
  • A modern bathroom with walk-in shower and underfloor heating.
  • Private garden area with a table and chairs—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
